Belper Winter Food and Gift Fair

Belper town center will be filled with stalls selling a range of goods from food and drinks to gifts and crafts. Many of the regular market traders will also be there and there will be entertainment in the Memorial Gardens.

The Belper Winter Food & Gift Fair will take place on Sunday 24th November 2024.


Belper town center will be filled with stalls selling a range of goods from food and drinks to gifts and crafts. Many of the regular market traders will also be there and there will be entertainment in the Memorial Gardens. Many of Belper’s wonderful local businesses will be open too, so there really is something for everyone to enjoy.


Entry is free and the event is suitable for the whole family.


This year, the event will be combined with the Christmas Lights Switch On. From 5pm, there will be additional stalls open on Belper Market Place which are provided by local charities and voluntary groups.


Opening Times

The event will open at 10.30am – 11am for quiet shopping with the full event opening from 11am until 7pm.


There will be additional stalls on the Market Place from 5pm.


The Christmas Lights will be switched on at 5.45pm.


Entertainment

There will be staging within the Memorial Gardens, which will be used for a full programme of entertainment throughout the day. Please stand at the top of King Street to view.


From 5.30pm – 7.30pm we will once again be joined by Olaf and his elf friend. Santa will also be stopping by to meet all the children in his grotto.


At 5.45pm the Christmas Lights will be switch on by soon-to-be husband and wife team, Derbyshire born and bread broadcaster Sally Pepper, the host of the Truly Madly Derby podcast and Ed Dawes, the voice of Derby County on BBC Radio Derby for more than a decade.


Following on from the lights, headline act Elite Elton will be performing the Rocketman’s greatest hits between 6pm – 7pm.


Parking

Free parking is available centrally at the Coppice Car Park.


Chargeable parking is available at Field Lane Car Park.


Green Lane Car Park will be closed to the public from 6am – 9pm on the day.


Road Closures

To ensure the safe running of the Food Festival, there will be road closures in place.


From 6am – 9pm on Sunday 24th November the following roads will be closed:


King Street from its junction with Market Head to its junction with Chapel Street
Campbell Street from its junction with King Street to its junction with New Road
Strutt Street from its junction with King Street to the Co-Op car park entrance
Green Lane from its junction with King Street to the Green Lane Car Park entrance
